Bay Area Hacks has now begun!
Dear Participants,
Thank you for signing up for Bay Area Hacks! Our event would not be nearly as great without all of you signing up!
Today marks the first day of the Bay Area Hacks hackathon! Firstly, please make sure to complete the Online Check-In Form as this is required for all attendees to be eligible for prizes and swag! Please also register on our Devpost, as this is where we will be submitting all projects and judging.
Our opening ceremony video can be found here: BAH Opening Ceremony. The video launch will begin at 12:30pm PST. We can’t wait!
Please also be sure to check out our opening ceremony slides which contain important information such as joining our Bay Area Hacks Slack workspace. All relevant information will be posted on the Slack! Please make sure to have Slack downloaded on your phones and your computers as we have many activities for you guys to take part in everyday! On the Slack, not only will you receive relevant information, but you will be able to contact mentors as well as network with guest speakers and ask organizers any questions.
For specific sponsors, such as echoAR, we will also have a dedicated Slack channel for competitors to ask any questions. If you plan on competing on the echoAR challenge during the hackathon, please sign-up for the echoAR challenge. Only one member is required to sign up on the platform. If you are still unsure of whether or not you want to compete on the echoAR platform, there will be a guest speaker workshop (the first one of Bay Area Hacks!) where the COO, Koren Grinshpoon, will provide information on how to use the platform. You will be eligible for special echoAR prizes!
The schedule for today includes:
From 5-6pm PST today, the echoAR workshop will be taking place. We will send all Zoom link details on the Slack and will also send you the link to a spreadsheet with all of the Zoom links for the week.
From 7:30-9 PST, there will be ice-breaker activities hosted by members of the organizing team! Feel free to come and get to know your fellow competitors better!
If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to email us at bayareahacks2020@gmail.com or message us in any channel using @team or DM us personally.
With warm regards,
Siddharth and Kartik
